What Led to This!

Strolling alone in the depth of the night,
No cash in hand, with no one in sight,
My mind wants to think what led to this,
But I know this journey ends without a fright.

Drifting through the snow, the moon up high,
I walk through the clouds, the air so dry,
My mind wants to think what led to this,
But my heart seems to have a cry.

I failed this road, this path comes to an end,
O I wish I had some more time to spend,
My mind wants to think what led to this,
But death is no more a struggle, it’s a trend.

The World Just Turned Around

Thought I was still a child,
But then the world just turned around.
My fever was still so mild,
When my brain just tumbled about.

I used to love the rain,
But then the clouds just turned to white.
Gave all my blood to win,
But then the win didn’t look so right.

The grass was always green,
Then came the drought to feed.
The world was ruled by Gods,
Until science just took the lead.

Peace used to be just our motive,
Now violence is the key.
Good used to be good,
Until bad just became a need.

This life used to have a pleasure,
Until survival became our route,
Thought I was still a child,
But then the world just turned around.

The Mob

The mob hurls toward our way,
Scared out of my wits,
I think twice before trembling.

Standing against the wall.
Listening to windows breaking, people screaming,
I count my last seconds.

I hear the door banging,
Thinking what to do, I kneel on the ground,
Crawling under the bed, I wait for the blast.

Fell on the ground a bottle on fire,
Blasted the power out of my ears,
I was under a ton of rock.

Somehow I got up screaming,
Gathered myself and realized where I was,
Twisted arm, that’s all God had accepted.

I looked out the window, saw the mob,
Still killing, destroying the precious lives,
They had a motive but a devilish one.

Controlled by the anger, they had started,
Executed half the city,
But when that hangover wears,
Even their souls won’t pay their debt.

Together

The glow in your eyes,
The silk in your hair,
The light in your path,
Oh I wish I was there.

The pulp in your advice,
The cry in your prayers,
But now I can hold your hand,
There is nothing to despair.

In the seven billion, we are two,
United for now, united forever,
Let’s bring this world down,
With the knights of your clever.

Nature’s Gift

Beautiful tapestry of stars,
Mesmerising sunset over the horizon,
Dewdrops on those leaves,
That sea standing by Poseidon.

The howl of the wolf,
The flare of the sun,
The tick of time,
All of it has already begun.

Hunting down the last hour,
When it all doesn’t matter,
But nature’s beauty is something to cherish,
Not something to scatter.
